Finally, we are ready to present Edge SDN network to the public. After 2 years of development, we have chosen the IoT Solution World Congress in Barcelona, 10-12 May 2022, to unveil our new Edge SDN solutions.

​​It was an easy choice to choose the IoT World Congress because to us it was the best and most fitting place to present a security network that has been designed and developed for the Industrial IoT sector.

The main purpose of Edge SDN, in fact, is to create a security system in the industrial network that is resilient, measurable, and independent from the actions of the operators. This ambitious goal was achieved with the use of standard Software Defined Network technology, now present in a large set of modern switches as useful configuration and management tool.

During the congress we have shown the relevant functionalities of the network using our demonstrator equipped with real IoT devices and SDN switches, Aruba, Allied Telesis and OpenvSwitch , just to name a few. IoT Solution World Congress gave us the opportunity to show the public a new approach to industrial safety based on prevention as an element of protection.

I would like to thank all the people who came to visit us and especially Mr. Carlos Mandolesi, President of the International Society of Automation (ISA), for his valuable advice and suggestions. After all, Edge SDN aims to create conduits of the Cyber Security International Standard ISA/IEC 62443 and having the honour of its president’s advice has been irreplaceable.
