What happened

ENISA upgraded the CRA Single Reporting Platform to version 1.1 on 12 October 2026 and states that all documentation on its site reflects the changes. The FAQ was updated on 3 October 2026 and now has 33 questions, one of them marked as updated. Earlier updates in September covered the registration and notification manuals for assigned representatives, the terms and conditions dated 10 September 2026 and the page on particularly exceptional circumstances.

What it means for machine builders

Two practical points from the FAQ still stand: there is no API, so reports are typed into the interface. The 72-hour counter is shown 48 hours after the early warning is submitted.

Where Shield Lifecycle fits

Shield Lifecycle prepares the technical report and the component patch procedure that the notification and the formal notice to the customer need, so the 72 hours are spent on the decision, not on the paperwork. Shield Lifecycle
